Aurora Pellizzi
Aurora Pellizzi is a Mexico City-based artist who grew up between Mexico and New York. Born in 1983 to a family of anthropologists, she studied art at Cooper Union and art history at New York University.
Pellizzi's work blends painting and sculpture with traditional craft techniques. She often uses pre-industrial textile methods, such as natural dyeing and weaving, to create textured, three-dimensional forms. Her art uses fiber as both a canvas and a representation of the subject itself.
