Description
These bowls made by my father Ira Rosen are decorative and for whimsy. These hand-turned oak bowls are the work of Ira Rosen — retired schoolteacher, painter, furniture maker, and master crafter in the tradition of American folk art. Decorative and full of whimsy, each lidded bowl is unique in its adornment — no two are exactly alike. At approximately 10" x 10" x 4", they're substantial enough to anchor a shelf, a table, or a room.
Crafting runs in the family. Judi Rosen grew up in a household where if you wanted something — a toy, a piece of clothing, anything — you made it. So when her father recently decided to pick up an old hobby instead of letting his brain turn to Jell-O in front of the television, she was grateful. These turned oak bowls are the result.
Handmade American folk art with decades of craft behind every piece. Each bowl is one of a kind in its own right — when your piece sells, that exact combination of wood and adornment won't be seen again.
