Description
Barbra. Elliott. Two figures inspired by one of the most storied couples in American entertainment — hand-carved and hand-painted by Ira Rosen. Not portraits. Interpretations. The work of a lifelong maker channeling decades of cultural memory through wood, paint, and an unerring eye for character. Each figure is carved and painted entirely by hand, designed to come apart and reassemble like a puzzle. At 9 inches long when assembled, this piece carries the kind of personality that only handmade folk art can.
Crafting runs in the family. Judi Rosen grew up in a household where if you wanted something — a toy, a piece of clothing, anything — you made it. So when her father recently decided to pick up an old hobby instead of letting his brain turn to Jell-O in front of the television, she was grateful. Barbara & Elliott are the result.
One-of-a-kind American folk art, made by hand, made with decades behind it. When this piece sells, it won't be made again.
